Welcome to The Reimbursement Dietitian’s Crib.
I am Amy Plano – The Reimbursement Dietitian. I am an author, nutrition entrepreneur, private practice dietitian, foodie, self-declared fashionista, wife, and professor. I am passionate about helping dietitians accomplish their dream of owning and operating a profitable insurance-based nutrition private practice. I teach dietitians exactly how to make money using a health insurance-based payment model.
Whether you choose to go ‘all in’ with insurance or simply decide to dabble (cherry-picking the carriers you want to become credentialed with), I demystify the insurance process and show you the specific steps necessary to leverage the shit out of accepting health insurance in your nutrition private practice and making the money YOU deserve as an RD. And I am there every step of the way. To ensure your success.
If you are skeptical about exactly how you will be making money solely relying on insurance. Let me be your proof. My practice is almost exclusively insurance-based and I easily generate a multi 6-figure salary.
With over a decade of experience running a multi 6-figure nutrition private practice, I truly understand first-hand the struggles dietitians face with getting started with accepting health insurance in their practices. However, even more importantly, I also understand the financial benefit of accepting insurance in your practice.
When I first started my practice over a decade ago, I was no different than you – super ambitious, passionate, ready to put in the work, but overwhelmed with where the heck to start with accepting insurance.
There were SO many friggin’ variables to successfully accepting insurance in my private practice. And numero uno, I didn’t even understand how the whole insurance thing worked. Meaning I didn’t even know what nutritional services were covered and which weren’t.
And this felt super discouraging! I wanted to make money but there was no step by step guide to follow or even a resource to reference to answer my million and one questions. After 10 years I’ve created the process I wish I had when I first started so you can build the revenue you want (and deserve) using my proven 6-Phase Reimbursement Model.
And guess what?
Fifteen years (Dios Mios!) later I am here to pay it forward.
I love running my own insurance-based practice and making the money I deserve as a dietitian. By accepting insurance, I am also able to help many people who might not be able to afford my services. This feels incredible. I want YOU to experience all these things as well. You don’t need to settle for working a dead-end clinical job making crappy money. You are capable of SO much more and I am here to help you achieve that.
Through my coaching programs and free and paid online resources, I teach dietitians exactly how to utilize health insurance as a profit tool in their practice. In fact, I walk you step-by-step through the process. Ensuring you know exactly what you are doing and why you are doing it to help you make money.
No more spinning your wheels. No more second-guessing yourself. Just true and tried systems that seamlessly create revenue for your practice using a health-based insurance model.
Ready to finally make some moolah by killing it with insurance in your practice?
